Our Story

View from the Chateau.

When our family bought the vineyard in Spring 1972, we wanted to supply a good quality red to our London hotel group. When we first purchased the property we had 5 hectares under vine. 50 years later we now have 11.5 hectares. This allows us to sell the wine all around the UK as well as in the hotels.

We like to gather together outside the chateau to taste our wines.

Our wine making process has benefited from the expertise of Michele Danlos who contributed to the increase in quality of the wine. He has recently passed the winemaking process to Arnaud Cholet who will continue with this progress.

With Daniel Hecquet managing and overseeing the vineyard, we know our grapes are in good hands.

Above, on the left is the ‘la croix de grezard’ and on the right, a sign just outside the village.

Steeped in history at every corner, we are based just outside St. Emilion, a Bordeaux town dating back to the ancient Romans. Our rustic location still hints to its medieval roots. From the architecture dotted about the fields, to roads that trace through the mineral rich soil; we are proud to work in such a fascinating area. And we draw upon the traditional winemaking processes embedded into St. Emilion’s culture.
